This session, Jamie has filed the following pieces of legislation to support small businesses:

An Act Relative to Gasoline Dealers: This law would require oil companies that are looking to sell or transfer a gas station leased to a dealer to offer a right of first refusal to the small business owner currently running the station. This law is prompted by complaints from Massachusetts franchise owners in contract with Exxon Mobil and currently faced with losing their business.

An Act Relative to Wine Sellers: This bill would allow farmers who make wine, beer, or distill liquor on their farms to sell those products at State and County Fairs and recognized farmer’s markets.
