Will focus on human services, outreach to immigrants
ACTON– State Senator Jamie Eldridge (D-Acton) is pleased to announce that Acton resident Danillo “Dan” Sena has recently joined his staff as District Director. The duties of the District Director include scheduling, constituent services, managing the Marlborough District Office and human services.  Sena fills the position previously held by Marlborough resident Michelle Geoffroy, who served as District Director for three years.
“I am very proud to have Danillo join my staff as my District Director,” said Senator Eldridge. “Dan’s commitment to public service, work ethic, and personal skills will help us serve the people of the Middlesex and Worcester district to the highest degree.  In addition, as a Brazilian-American immigrant, I will be relying upon Dan to serve as a liaison to the different immigrant communities in the Senate district I represent.”
Sena was born in a Timbauba, Brazil, before emigrating to Acton when he was 14. He became passionate about pursuing a career in public service because of the growing gap between the rich and poor he witnessed growing up in Timbauba.  Sena attended and graduated from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, and then worked full-time while attending and graduating from Middlesex Community College in 2009, and UMass-Amherst in 2013.  Prior to working at the State House, Sena also volunteered as an interpreter translating medical information to non-English speaking patients at the MetroWest Free Medical Program at Temple Beth El in Sudbury.
“I’m honored and excited to have this opportunity to serve the public in Senator Eldridge’s office,” said Danillo Sena. “I look forward to working together with constituents and community organizations across the district.”
As District Director, Sena is in charge of all scheduling requests.  Please send such requests to, or call Dan at 617-722-1120 at the State House.
