A Conversation with Ilma Paixão
Today, I speak with a dear friend of mine Ilma Paixão discussing her background as an Afro-Brazilian community leader in Framingham. Ilma came to the US from Brazil in 1984, and was an activist for her community since then fighting against racism, discrimination and prejudices that were mainly directed towards her community. She will speak to us about her journey, struggles and successes being a woman of color in a leadership position.
