Senator Eldridge Nominates Marlborough’s Eliana Marcolino for Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus Awards

Marlborough – State Senator Jamie Eldridge (D-Marlborough) is thrilled to announce his nomination of Marlborough’s Eliana Marcolino, an outstanding community leader, for the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus Award, part of the 2026 Black Excellence on the Hill event. 

Eliana Marcolino is an Afro-Brazilian immigrant who has made an outstanding impact on her community. Eliana holds a wealth of titles and talents being an educator, linguist, journalist for both the Brazilian Times and VIP Connections, and advocate for youth entrepreneurship in the Metrowest region through her support for the Next Gen Leaders project. Her work has always led her back to supporting the Brazilian immigrant community and she has consistently centered diversity, equity, and inclusion in her work.

Innovative programs like Next Gen Leaders project that focus on diversity and inclusion are key to building success across our communities.”

The annual Black Excellence on the Hill event is hosted by the Massachusetts Black & Latino Legislative Caucus (MBLLC) to celebrate Black community leaders that are champions of progress in cities and towns across Massachusetts. Nominees come from across the commonwealth and recognized for their active roles, tireless advocacy, and many accomplishments in serving their communities.
